CARPENTER 

Fulltime $60,000 - $65,000 annually (40hours/week)

J Douglas Construction is a Victoria owned and operated company. Our company is committed to excellent high-end work and providing a full range of services for our clients from new Homes, Developments, Renovations, Extensions, Volume Builds, both in the Domestic & Commercial Sectors.We are expanding so currently looking for a skilled and qualified full-time Carpenter require new Carpenter to help Join our team and be part of our next Journey in the construction Business.

Minimum Selection Criteria, you:

• Have CER III in Carpentry, IV and Diploma of Building and Construction

• Must have more than 3 years of experience as a Carpenter 

• PPE, Own Tools, Driver’s License and must have their own reliable car

• Red/White Card (Required)

• Competent in ability to read and interpret plans & engineering. 

• Ability to work alone or in a team

• Demonstrated knowledge of carpentry techniques and practices

• Should be a quick learner

• Are available across the working week including weekdays and weekends 

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Studying drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures

2. Ordering and selecting timbers and materials, and preparing layouts

3. Cutting materials, and assembling and nailing cut and shaped parts

4. Assembling prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install

5. Cutting wood joints

6. He used to repair existing fittings

7. Constructing, erecting, installing, renovating and repairing structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, wallboard and other materials

8. Following blueprints and building plans to meet the needs of clients

9. Installing structures and fixtures, such as windows and moulding

10. Measuring, cutting, or shaping wood, plastic, and other materials

11. Constructing building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes

12. Helping erect, levelling and installing building framework with the aid of rigging hardware and cranes

13. Inspecting and replacing damaged framework or other structures and fixtures
